In the Steeze Factory with Toddla T
I joined Toddla T on his podcast, Steeze Factory Settings, for an honest conversation about youth work, music culture and my career journey
Shortly after Cut Short was published four years ago I connected with author and DJ Annie Mac and her husband, DJ and producer Toddla T.
Alongside the publication of her debut novel, Mother Mother, Annie hosted chats on her Changes podcast with me and Jhemar Jonas. Toddla later invited Jhemar — aka Rippa — to the music studio, where they would end up making his first EP, Night Time Walk, together.
Ever since, Toddla and I have remained in a constant dialogue about society, music and life. We recently decided to record a conversation on his new podcast, Steeze Factory Settings.

Every month I teach an online short course for City St George’s, University of London.
It’s called Writing for Social Impact, and draws from my experience turning frontline youth and education work into compelling narratives, media stories and effective communications.
Spread across a Friday and Saturday morning, it’s a safe space for conversation, sharing and feedback. People attend from all over the world. All levels are welcome.
